Leanna and Lunar, Bedminster
"Our Dog has been a regular client of Walks with the Pack for some time now. Katy and Jim are clearly naturals with dogs and makes them and us feel at ease treating them as if they were their own, the vehicle is very safe and the group enrichment hike is highly recommended and great for socialisation we have noticed our dogs confidence has increased since walking with Katy and Jim. Lunar is always so calm and content on her return, I love all the updates throughout the walk and highly recommend Walks with the Pack"
Bryony, Peggy and Frank,
Southville
“Katy is just the most wonderful dog walker! and we have no hesitation in recommending her, we knew the moment we spoke to her on the phone she was the right person to look after our two dogs, one of which is a rescue and can be anxious and one a playful puppy, she is very experienced and deals with both dogs brilliantly, she is well set up and very knowledgeable”
Chiara and Lula, Harbourside
“Katy has been walking Lula for a while now and I could not be happier. Katy is one of the most patient and caring people I know and is amazing and knowledgeable with dogs and really supportive to owners. She has even helped Lula with her anxiety, she goes above and beyond! Katy is the best in the business!"

Recall Club
If your dog has poor recall, life can be very difficult for both of you! Recall Club is designed to focus on recall and loose lead walking in a secure field, using a process we have had great results with.
See our blog for our success story with Frankie (whose recall went from near zero recall to consistently good ).
Results may vary depending on the dog, but we feel success is best achieved by having three sessions per week for a period of 3 to 5 weeks, with advice and encouragement for you to utilise outside of the sessions.
If these skills become sufficiently embedded, your dog can join our regular enrichment hikes (gradually going off lead), should you wish.
If consistent results were not achieved over the course of the initial sessions, we could extend or recommend a dog trainer or dog behaviorist.
We do not offer this service to dogs to reactive dogs, and suggest you seek out a qualified trainer for this issue, we can help with some suggestions of good local trainers.
Minimum 6 sessions block (Tues afternoon & Thursday morning or afternoon, depending on availability). £38 per session.
We are proud to be Gold members of the APDWS ( Association of Professional Dog Walkers and Sitters.
We are First Aid trained and are regularly keeping up to date with current best practice through CPD
About Us
I’m Katy. After many years of working in a social work team, with vulnerable children, teenagers and families, I was ready for a career change. I decided to combine my many skills with my passion for dogs and my love of adventure and the great outdoors; by creating a first-class enriching dog walking service: Walks With The Pack.
Having spent my whole life with dogs, I have a natural affinity with all canines. In fact one of my first ever memories is my parents bringing home a very cheeky and playful border collie cross puppy who loved to nip at my small toddler feet.
I’m passionate about providing the best care for your dogs. I have completed a canine first aid course, and am completing level 4 Dog Walking and Dog Boarding qualifications. I am a gold standard member of APDWS The Association of Professional Dog Walkers and Sitters. I’m also fascinated by dog behaviour and have begun enrolment for the ABTC dog trainer course through PACT the Professional Association of Canine Trainers.
I regularly watch dog training webinars, and have always got a doggy podcast on in the car! I have a wonderful support team who help me care for the dogs from time to time when we are super busy, and they are all skilled dog lovers, vetted by myself and come with the Walks with the Pack paw of approval.
Making these wonderful animals a part of my every day, is at the heart of Walks with the Pack.
I'm Jim and I've always loved dogs. Having so many in my life now is is something my child self would be very happy about!
When I married Katy, I knew she was an incredible ideas person, so when she began WWTP I was certain it would be a success; I just didn't know it would happen so quickly! Her dedication to learning just what our customers need, and how to deliver it, has been a masterclass.
My background is as a TV Producer Director (my first celeb encounter was the Dulux dog and I've produced Animal Park and The Supervet). I've taken time out from that to focus on our new family business, because so many people are buying into the Walks with the Pack ethos. This has allowed us to say "yes" to more walks. I've also been putting my documentary skills to work, creating videos for our clients and helping with our marketing and communications!
Dog behaviour is an area I find facinating and studying this has complimented a natural affinity and empathy towards animals. Very helpful training our own dog, Tandy (Our business Ambassador!)! With Katy's early guidance on recall, loose lead walking and doggie confidence issues, I've had some great results (I'm thinking of you Frankie.). I'm completing the relevent first aid courses and continue my own professional development in the field. Just like Katy, I always have a relevent podcast on in the car.
I feel very lucky to be doing this for a job! I've even been able to incorporate my Triathlon training by offering K9-Crossfit style sessions for dogs that love to run. Perfect for working dogs or energetic types but done in bursts to suit all energy levels. The physicallity of running with the dogs keeps them very focused and active.
